The NExpress automation service enables libraries of all types and sizes to provide rapid and direct access to shared library resources through a technically advanced library automation system at a reduced cost, with training, technical support and software enhancements provided by NEKLS. The NExpress service is an web-based automation service that features flexible searching, item availability status, and the ability for library users to directly place requests for items in the collection of any participating library, with delivery by courier to the patron’s local library.

NExpress features

  • A Koha open source software platform featuring a sophisticated search engine and flexible user interface.
  • Interlibrary loan links to other library catalogs.
  • Direct training and technical support service from NEKLS.

NExpress Member Libraries

All NEKLS libraries are welcome to join the NExpress service. 32 libraries are currently participating in NExpress, and additional libraries have agreed to join the service in 2010-2011:
