- Download KohaFirefox (For NExpress staff users only) (Save File, not Run or Open with)
- Find where you downloaded the file to (usually it’s your desktop or your downloads folder). Right-click the file, and select “Extract All”
- Click through the wizard. You do not need to change the default settings.
- Click Finish.
- Double click the icon “Install Koha Firefox (OS)” for your OS(Win XP or Win 7. Vista users should use the Win 7 versions of files).1
- On Windows 7, you will also need to right click the “Install Shortcut (Win 7)” icon, and choose “Run as Administrator”
- Click on Yes when it asks if you want to run this file as an Administrator.
- Make sure your receipt printer is named “Receipt Printer”
- Click Start
- Click Printers and Faxes
- If your receipt printer is named “Receipt Printer” do nothing, you’re set.
- If your receipt printer is not named “Receipt Printer” — Right click the receipt printer, select “rename” and type in “Receipt Printer”
- Open Koha Firefox by double clicking the K icon on your desktop.
- The first time you launch it on each computer, you will see this message: Open File — Security Warning. Before clicking Open, please uncheck the box “Always ask before opening this file.” The message should never appear again.
- Delete the folder and zip file from your desktop (optional)
1 If there is no Koha link on the desktop after the installer is executed, then there might be a permissions issue in the folder containing the Koha installer. In this case try running the installer from a different folder such as C:/Temp/
