Have you scanned one patron card only to have a different patron appear on your screen? Follow these steps to prevent Firefox from storing form entries and put an end to that unwanted behavior.
If you don’t want Firefox to remember what you’ve entered into form fields, you can turn off the auto form fill feature:
1. On the menu bar, Tools > Options (on a Mac, select Firefox menu > Preferences)
2. Select the Privacy panel.
3. Set Firefox will: to Use custom settings for history.
4. Remove the check mark from the box that says Remember sea
rch and form history.
5. Save and close the Preferences window.
Disabling form history also prevents Firefox from storing search history for the Search bar in the Navigation Toolbar.
