NEWS:
Hi all,
We have a great new feature addition to Library Anywhere — barcode scanning. You might have already seen this, since it came out with the newest version of the iPhone and Android apps, but hadn’t been announced until today.
In short, what this does is let you pick up a book, scan the ISBN, and it checks to see if your library has a copy.
We have a blog post up, here, with more details:
http://www.librarything.com/blogs/thingology/2011/10/barcode-scanning-in-library-anywhere/
As well as a video showing it in action, here:
http://www.librarything.com/forlibraries/video_la_scanning.php
Note – this is not an optimum package feature – you don’t pay extra to turn it on. It’s an improvement to the service you already have.
